12:5 And all of you have forgotten the exhortation which speaks unto you as unto children, my son, despise not you the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when you are rebuked of him: 12:6 For whom the Lord loves He chastens, and scourges every son whom He receives. 12:7 If all of you endure chastening, God deals with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chastens not? 12:8 But if all of you be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are all of you are bastards, and not sons. (Hebrews 12:5-8 KJV)
Many parents do not teach their children the parts of the Ten Commandments that cumulate into living a better life which lead into having an afterlife with God. If the commandments are not met and atonement not done because of the indiscretions, then you are not treated as a child of God.
What is said in Hebrews is that God will chastise His children like we as parents are supposed to do with our children. We are to teach our children so that they can live without us. There are numerous reasons why many children are not taught this today. Number one cause is the parent was not taught this therefore the chain of teaching is broken and the ignorance of not knowing is sown.
What has happened to the ex-President is not a surprise because he was taught in the wrong way. Many people will disagree with me because I am writing about the ex-President but truth is truth and I am not hiding my thoughts.
He was not taught to do unto others as he would have others do unto him. He was not taught not to lie. He was not taught not to steal. And there are many other things he was not taught. Most of all, he was not chastised in any way. God have said what will be done is in His own timing and no man, no matter who he is, can stop it.
We, as parents, must instruct our children in the way of the Lord and to follow His commandments. It also says in Hebrews that we are not perfect, but we must atone our sins. God knows we are not perfect, and Christ died to cleanse us of our sins and there are things we must do to atone (I wrote about this).
Anyone who rejected the law of Moses died without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. How much more severely do you think a man deserves to be punished who has trampled the Son of God (Jesus) under foot? …It is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. (Hebrews 10:28-29, 31)
Many times, I have written similar words, about what we are doing, the consequences, and what the followers will bear. My mother used to say, if someone told you to jump off a cliff are you going to be foolish enough to jump?
It is too late to chastise the ex-President but I will not be a follower (I never was) either. He will meet his fate with God, even if he gets his just due here on earth, and it will not be pretty. His followers will also meet theirs.
