Another Letter From Paul 2

3:1 This know also, that in the last days dangerous times shall come. 3:2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3:3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 3:4 Traitors, rebellious, high – minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; 3:5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. 3:6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, 3:7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. (2 Timothy 3:1-7 KJV)

I will continue from the last writing and get further into the letter from Paul. This is because I see the handwriting on the wall because of the things we are doing to this world, to the people, and what the politicians are doing. God dislike disobedience from His people and maybe you will understand what is happening if I give more definitions (Biblically) of some of the offences.

In verse 3 it says people will be without natural affection. That is abnormal affection and love; heartless, without human emotion or love; a lack of feeling for others; abuse of normal affection and love.

Then there are the trucebreakers. These people are breakers of promises and agreements; untrustworthy, faithless, treacherous, and unfaithful.

We have many people in the next group. There are also those that engage the mouth before they engage the brain and think first. The grouping are false accusers and slanderers. The Greek word is diabolos which mean devil. The devil is the patron saint of all slanderers, and of all slanderers he is chief.

People are incontinent, which means undisciplined and uncontrolled; having no self-control or no power to discipline. I know politicians that fit into this group.

Still staying with verse 3 there is fierce (savage and untamed). Does (1/6) January 6 mean anything?

People will be despisers of those who are good. This refers to people despising both good people and good things. In the last days people will be embarrassed to speak up for what is right, take a stand for what is good, etc.

Now we get into verse 4 and start with traitors. There are many of them. Need I say more about that?

This next one fits most of today’s people, and the word is heady. It means headstrong and reckless; rash and hasty – all without giving thought to the consequences. What comes to mind is reckless driving and boating; reckless work and recreation; passion and lust; reckless eating and drinking. Remember, when you point your finger at someone that fits any of these definitions, there are fingers pointing back at you.

I haven’t covered all of what I want to point out but what I wrote is only some of the things that signal the final years. We are closer than you may want to believe but look around you and open your eyes to what is going on. God hates wrong doers and their helpers. Be careful, repent, and maybe God will give you a do over.
