Punishment Is Close

46:8 Remember this and show yourselves men: bring it again to mind, O all of you transgressors. 46:9 Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me, 46:10 Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure: 46:11 Calling a ravenous bird from the east, the man that executes my counsel from a far country: yea, I have spoken it, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed it, I will also do it. 46:12 Hearken unto me, all of you stouthearted, that are far from righteousness: 46:13 I bring near my righteousness; it shall not be far off, and my salvation shall not tarry: and I will place salvation in Zion for Israel my glory. (Isaiah 46:8-13 KJV)

Isaiah was the official historian for King Uzziah and King Hezekiah. He was highly trained as a scribe and had wide experience as an advisor to kings.

Isaiah was also a very practical man. He spoke to people living in a shaky, uncertain world. He challenged people in crisis to look to God alone for security. In a world falling apart, the only certainty could be found in an unfailing God. Most of the world’s peoples should stop what they are doing, really read and absorb Isaiah, and adhere to what God demand of us. Like Judah and Israel, in Isaiah’s day, disobeying God cannot continue without God’s intervention with punishment.

In many of my blogs, I have written about the punishments that God could and will bring. Still, many people continue doing whatever they choose to do, disregarding God’s commandments, thinking there is plenty of time to atone later. They are so engrossed in what is at hand now and do not care about their eternal souls when time runs out as they are still shrouded in ignorance. The Devil will inherit the goods (the soul) of his labor.

In the blogs I wrote, I mentioned a few things (punishments) that could happen. I also wrote about how we see time verses how God counts time. We may think time is slow, but God see it differently. We do not know what time it is to God, but we should be ready for whatever time it is. The tornadoes, earthquakes, global warming (I just read about the warm waters melting the glazers faster, making sea rise a bigger problem than ever), wars everywhere, and political havoc around the world (not only in the USA but in every country).

All that I am saying is to get right with God, stop your evil ways, try to live a life of tranquility with your fellow man, stop trying to get the upper hand on everyone, and being the richest person in the world (at all costs and making it by doing whatever is necessary) because you can’t take it with you and it’s too much for your heirs, they can at least share.

Isaiah told Judah and Israel, they didn’t listen, paid the price through punishment and, since they (we) are still not listening, will surely be punished again. Praise be to God on high. He made this world and us and He will do as He pleases at the time of His choosing.
