30 As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him. 31 For who is God save the LORD? or who is a rock save our God? 32 It is God that girdeth me with strength, and maketh my way perfect. 33 He maketh my feet like hinds’ feet, and setteth me upon my high places. 34 He teacheth my hands to war, so that a bow of steel is broken by mine arms. 35 Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation: and thy right hand hath holden me up, and thy gentleness hath made me great. (Psalms 18:30-35 KJV)
Donald Trump said that he alone can fix what is wrong, etc., etc., etc. I, myself, love a can do attitude and I think I have that also. However, I do not say I alone can fix or do anything. I know I need help in most endeavors, especially God’s help. I can’t do anything without God and I will never say that I can, I am not that stupid. Yes, I said stupid because a person have to be one of two things to say something like that. Stupid or crazy. I will have to put Trump in one of the categories because I can’t recall ever hearing him say anything about his religion, attending a church or hearing anyone else saying he attended their place of worship.
Thinking about religion, he did trod on other peoples religion and, I believe, the Muslim person, who spoke at Hillary Clinton’s nomination, said it well. He even produced his copy of the Constitution and said he would loan it to Trump so that Trump could read it and, maybe, understand what is in it. It is a travesty to say that a type of religious people will not enter the country or want to eradicate these people from the country, along with others. Yes, he should read the Constitution and the Bible. Oh, he also said he doesn’t read much so I guess he will never read either even if he had the chance. Such a shame. He said paperwork that comes to him must be condensed to two or three pages. Some things can’t be honed down to such a thin edge especially the Bible. That is why so many people state the words in the Bible out of context and have a passage mean what they want it to mean.
As is seen in Psalms, it takes God to make the way perfect, to aid you in war and to give you strength, among many other things. Psalms does not say that God will let you do it alone or make it possible for you to do it alone. Our Constitution make it impossible for anyone to do it alone. To do it alone mean dictatorship, we have a democracy. There are checks and balances. Only Congress can declare war. Only congress can make the laws. Only the courts can say if something is legal or whatever can legally be done. The President can only present a rule or law for ratification, enactment, and he can not overturn any law, only the courts can do that.
Who are these courts and Congress? They are our representatives that we elect to do our bidding, although some, if not most, have their own agenda. We, they, are not perfect but it is great that we have a strong Constitution and it seem to work most of the time. However these people, that he want to throw out, do not go around saying what they want to say, whenever they want to say it and seldom check the facts of what they are saying. Seldom do they go around with their foot, oops, it should be feet, in their mouth and then have someone else try to clean up the turmoil it caused.
Bottom line…I don’t want a President that is against religion and truths. Remember my blog (No Man Is A Nation) about going it alone. With God, you are never alone but don’t be stupid or an ignoramus and try do do it alone or even say you alone can do it all. This country was founded because of a dictatorship, one person demanding everyone to do his will and abide by his laws. We formed a democracy that have survived for over two hundred years and have fought wars to preserve it. Not only The Revolutionary War but we have helped other countries to get and/or maintain theirs. No one can do it alone and, as we have done in the past, have asked for help. We need help to help others because we can not do it alone. God helped us to help them and, in return, they helped us. A circle of helping each other and watching the back of the countries in the chain, that is the way to do it along with a heavy dose of prayer and then more prayer.
God has been gentle with us, so why can’t we be gentle with others, each other? Spewing hate and discontent was never the way. God is love and we should show others love, even our enemy. I feel sorry for Trump because his black heart has altered his mind and soul, May God help him to mend his ways and to love others.
