7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. 8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. 9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. 10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another. 12 No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us. 13 Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.

I ask this question because most people get it confused. Most people seem to confuse man as the object of their love, more than Jesus or God Himself. This fact seem more prevalent today than it ever was, not only in this country but in many, many other countries. In 1 John it is said God so loved us He sent His only begotten Son, we ought also to love one another. It is also said that he that does not love also does not love God.

I ask this question. How would you feel to be fired from your job a day before you are scheduled to retire? Was it love that fired you? Was it compassion? Was it vindictiveness? Or was it hatred, devilishness or plain stupidity? I would say it was the latter two, vindictiveness, hatred, devilishness and stupidity; it could not be love or compassion. Who would love to be treated that way when on the way out? Love one another can also be interpreted to mean to do unto others as you would love to be treated.

Evidently there are many leaders around the world, including mine, that does not know love, therefore does not know God. This mean, to me, I can not trust these people nor respect these people because they are not of love, therefore, not of God. They do not love me and will do all sorts of harm to me. They will deceive me and attempt to get me on the same evil path they are on. This path eventually leads to the burning fires of hell and, as it is said, misery love company.

I am not perfect, no one is, but I try. I try to love because I love God. If for any reason I falter I ask for forgiveness and attempt to correct any harm I may have done. I do not intentionally deceive but if I do I immediately correct the deception. I do all that is in my power to treat others as I would love to be treated. I love God. God is love.
