2:5 Yea also, because he trangresses by wine, he is a proud man, neither keeps at home, who enlarges his desire as hell, and is as death, and cannot be satisfied, but gathers unto him all nations, and heaps unto him all people:
2:6 Shall not all these take up a parable against him, and a taunting proverb against him, and say, Woe to him that increases that which is not his! how long? and to him that loads himself with thick clay!
2:7 Shall they not rise up suddenly that shall bite you, and awake that shall vex you, and you shall be for booties unto them?
2:8 Because you have spoiled many nations, all the remnant of the people shall spoil you; because of men’s blood, and for the violence of the land, of the city, and of all that dwell therein. (Habakkuk 2:5-8 KJV (new))
Habakkuk, like in some of my other blogs, was one of the twelve prophets from the Bible. He spoke to God and God spoke to him, foretelling what is to come. I say again, like I have heard all my life, history repeats itself. This is true in every sense. Not exactly as it did in the past but repeat itself none the less and, in some cases, worse than before.
God keep warning us, but our transgressions get in the way each time and blind us from the truth and the chance to make ourselves righteous. We are happy in our transgressions and do not want to leave the feeling of comfort although our souls will go to hell because of it.
As in verse five, it is trying to tell us something if only we listen. I am not a prophet, just a person that read and try to interpret the Bible the best I can without any formal training on the subject. I try not to put extra words into passages, nor do I attempt to take any away. I just read, recall other books and passages of similar meaning, and attempt to connect it all in a cohesive fashion. I then re-read the passages and connect it to what is happening in the world today.
Today’s pandemic is not anything new and have been foreseen and foretold by the twelve prophets, Habakkuk being one of them. Everyone is too busy with whatever they are doing in their life to be bothered with hearing the truth or even wanting to hear the truth. The devil has made their life comfortable and they are willing to accept the devil, knowing they are doomed to be forever in the fiery pit.
The President, his administration and his supporters all want one thing, profit for themselves. The Lord will take care of them in His way. All you must do is repent and go to God on your knees. More is to come, and it will not be a long time before it happens. What we are now going through is nothing. Those on the side of God will have life ever after. Those on the side of the devil will perish in the fires of hell. The choice is yours and we are almost out of time to choose. Read Habakkuk.
