Crowd Action

27:19 When he was set down on the judgment s eat, his wife sent unto him, saying, Have you nothing to do with that just man: for I have suffered many things this day in a dream because of him. 27:20 But the chief priests and elders persuaded the multitude that they should ask Barabbas, and destroy J esus. 27:21 The governor answered and said unto them, Whether of the two will all of you that I release unto you? They said, Barabbas. 27:22 Pilate says unto them, What shall I do then with Jesus which is called Christ? They all say unto him, Let him be crucified. 27:23 And the governor said, Why, what evil has he done? But they cried out the more, saying, Let him be crucified. 27:24 When Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing, but that rather a tumult was made, he took water, and washed his hands bef ore the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this just person: see all of you to it. (Matthew 27:19-24 KJV)
Crowds and crowds of people gather all around the world to show the unpleasantness of the inequity in the police murdering another Black man. Not only have this been happening for untold years but the fact that police can do this without fear of punishment but with praise from their compadre and civilians that have a similar cause. For the oppressor to look into the camera, smirk and hear the pleas from the crowd, as well as the one being oppressed, and continue is shameful. Shameful on the oppressor and shameful on the United States for letting these actions to go on for too many years.
We have recently ended our Easter celebration and, if you have read your Bible, that was when Jesus was handed over to be crucified instead of the thief. There were crowds that demanded Jesus be crucified. Today, we have crowd action that demand a change in law. A change in justice. And a change in something I am not so sure should be done. The defunding of police departments. What does the crowd gatherings mean by this? Should we not have police? Should we not have jails? Should we have a society of lawlessness? Again, so many questions with so few answers. One answer is to take the defunded money and put it into other services that will help the community.
The extreme gun toting bands of angry White men will see no one stopping them from exacting extreme extermination of any Black person they choose to exterminate. Will there ever be peace? Will there ever be justice for all, exacted in the same way for all? Will the rich forever stomp on the poor? I pray to God and raise my hand to Heaven for these things to be erased in my lifetime. I pray these crowds make a difference for the good. I also pray for a new and refurbished administration. If Snoop Dog want to vote for the first time, there must be many more like him. Let the crowd action and the vote rule. If justice for all was in Jesus’ time, not only would the thief walk but Jesus would have also. The crowd ruled and Jesus died on the cross.
