3:1 Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work, 3:2 To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, showing all meekness unto all men. 3:3 For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another. 3:4 But after that the kindness and love of God our Savior toward man appeared, 3:5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Spirit; (o. pneuma) 3:6 Which He shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior; (Titus 3:1-6 KJV)

          To further attempt to teach you I’ll tell you about Paul’s right-hand man, Titus. Titus was a Gentile and helped Paul, at this setting, teach the people on the island of Crete. Paul left Titus on Crete to continue teaching while he went elsewhere. The Book of Titus is a letter sent to Titus instructing him because there were some that were attempting to undo what was done.

          I told you that things and situations are repeated many times over and Titus’ situation is no different. In today’s situation, there is great division among the people, not only in our nation but, in the world. God have given us the instructions on how we can reach Heaven instead of Hell. You don’t have to look hard to find individuals trying to divide us with any means possible which may take us all to Hell.

          Congress is really a divided house and, to make matters worse, they are doing this on purpose. When one side say yes, the other side say no. When one side say no, the other side say yes. Then there are those (I am thinking of two, male and female, in particular) that should read and abide by verse three.

          To be contentious and contrary seems to be stamped on their forehead. They also do the opposite of verse two and it seems as though there is no turning back. The depth of Hell is their future, and they are embracing it lovingly. They are more foolish than I can fathom.

          They are not the only ones that need to re-meet God, we all need to renew our faith and adhere to the Commandments of God. We also need to reacquaint ourselves with the reason why Jesus was sent to guide us into the way of righteousness. Jesus told us what had to be done to be accepted into the Kingdom of God. Many listened today as the zeitgeist of then but far too many fell far short of the goal. There are many in Congress that are far from the goal and is trying to take many others with them into Hell. Don’t be one of them that is taken. Time is not on your side and have never been your friend. Death will come as a thief in the night, then it is too late to atone.  

          Remember, do good work and abide by the laws of Christ the Lord. Titus tried to instruct the people but there was too many working in the background undermining his work. God loves us all, that He sent His only begotten Son that if we believe in Him, we will have everlasting life. Read Titus and see what Paul wrote to him.
