22 Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the LORD. (Proverbs 18:22 KJV)

All my life I have heard “behind every successful man there is a good woman”, which I find is very true. I imagine it is a loose way of repeating Proverbs eighteen and twenty two. I am frequently remind of this fact every time I think about my past and see successful people. Without my wife, I would not be where I am today. I also look at my step-daughter and her husband, who just renewed their vows yesterday, and the statement really struck home. They really compliment each other, they are both doing really good and have reared good children (some his, some hers and one theirs).

As for me, I am thankful for my pairing with my wife a few years ago. We both were doing good although not as well as we are together. Sometime I have to reign her in and sometime she have to reign me in. We compliment each other yet we go our own way and do our own thing although, most of the time, it is together. We are one.

13 A foolish son is the calamity of his father: and the contentions of a wife are a continual dropping.

14 House and riches are the inheritance of fathers: and a prudent wife is from the LORD. (Proverbs 19:13/14 KJV)

As you see, it is even said in other Proverbs writings, it is everywhere. Man can not do without woman and woman can not do without man. If a man or woman does not keep God in their life and/or sight, all is lost and riches shall not be theirs. Plus, man and woman must work together. As you have received the riches, it can quickly be taken away. Quicker than how it was acquired.

It is also said “one man/one woman” and God made “male and female” and should be taken seriously before it is too late. Who knows, it may be too late now. Only God knows and keep His time table. It was a beautiful sight yesterday to see what can happen when the Lord is kept in a marriage and will always remain in the marriage. The marriage remains strong.

So, I say to you. Love God and God, as always, will love you. Keep God in your life, especially in your marriage, and prosper. This way you will have a life of love, joy and prosperity. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son. And, who soever believed in Him shall have everlasting life. That life also include that man and that woman, together. Remember that and act on it before it is too late.
