War And Consequence

31 Or what king, going to make war against another king, sitteth not down first, and consulteth whether he be able with ten thousand to meet him that cometh against him with twenty thousand? (Luke 14:31 KJV)

For years there have been war. From the beginning of time the Bible is filled with stories of war and the rumor of war. Seem as though war is essential to all life forms. All animals, bugs, microscopic organisms, etc. war against something, even themselves. Even though humans have tried to opt out of a war or have negotiated, trying to prevent a war, war was inevitable. Try as we may, war eventually will come, one way or another, sooner or later.

In Luke it is said (I am paraphrasing) it is stupid or dumb not to sit down and negotiate first. We may have ten thousand fighters but they may have twenty thousand fighters. Yes, I am thinking of North Korea. Then think of other armies that may or may not side with them in a time of war. They may do this for many reasons unknown to us simply because we never took the time to sit and talk, only demanded for our own reason.

6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. (Matthew 24:6 KJV)

1Deliver me, O LORD, from the evil man: preserve me from the violent man; 2 Which imagine mischiefs in their heart; continually are they gathered together for war. 3 They have sharpened their tongues like a serpent; adders’ poison is under their lips. Selah. 4 Keep me, O LORD, from the hands of the wicked; preserve me from the violent man; who have purposed to overthrow my goings.

(Psalms 140:1-4 KJV)

We all would like to be delivered form war or any rumor of a war, however, at the present time there is only antagonistic rhetoric coming from the power that is willing to have war. Deliver me, O Lord, from this debacle. Everyone suffer in war. All it does is lower populations to make room for the survivors that will struggle on until another war approach. Then the cycle begins again. It does not have to be. So far, negotiations have done us well, even without threats, saber rattling or direct harsh words. An old saying: More flies are caught with honey than with vinegar.

I am too old for war although I have participated in my share. But, the younger generation of today have no stomach for this either. They go into the military for the education and other reasons. If they are told to take up arms, they panic and try to fade away. They want the niceties that we have but they do not want to preserve it. Now they have a ruler that is antagonistic against another antagonistic ruler. Something will have to give or we perish. The world’s population will be thinned and will never be the same. Unless God have mercy on us, it is not “if” but “when” the war will begin. Lord have mercy on our souls.

1 Then drew near unto him all the publicans and sinners for to hear him. 2 And the Pharisees and scribes murmured, saying, This man receiveth sinners, and eateth with them. (Luke 15:1-2 KJV)

One last thing…most, if not all, of the elected leader’s personnel, like himself, are sinners. Yes, he is a sinner also, not like the Lord who is not. He has sinned, is sinning and will continue to sin. His people are sinners also. They do all manner of sinning and, if we allow it, will continue. Lord have mercy on our souls. Their soul is lost and can be found in the bowels of hell. Damned to forever burn in the fires of hell with Satan tending the coals. Again, we all must awaken to our predicament.
