1 And Solomon the son of David was strengthened in his kingdom, and the LORD his God was with him, and magnified him exceedingly.   2 Then Solomon spake unto all Israel, to the captains of thousands and of hundreds, and to the judges, and to every governor in all Israel, the chief of the fathers. (II Chronicles 1:1-2 KJV)

12 And the LORD appeared to Solomon by night, and said unto him, I have heard thy prayer, and have chosen this place to myself for an house of sacrifice.   13 If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people;  14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways;  then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.   15 Now mine eyes shall be open, and mine ears attent unto the prayer that is made in this place. (II Chronicles 7:12-15 KJV)

Solomon spoke to thousands plus and went to the place of prayer and heard the words of God. The President of the United States of America shows his face and we hear his words as he speaks to millions. But he hears no one, especially God. He has no compassion in his soul to give in to or hear anyone but a few chosen people, mostly his family members. I really want to hone onto the word ‘pestilence’.

The dictionary defines it like this: (1) a deadly or virulent epidemic disease (2) something that is considered harmful, destructive, or evil. Number two can be considered today. I am responding to the government shut-down as a pestilence. The government shut-down is harmful, destructive and evil, not only to those not working or working without pay, but the trickle-down effect it is having on everyone (there may be another shut-down coming).

I have written a few times before; our President does not have a religious bone in his body. He will never humble himself to anyone, will never pray, seek God’s face and nor will he give up his evil ways. He has been evil from a very young person until today and will be evil tomorrow. He cares only for himself and think he is the only person that know everything about anything.

God is not hearing anything the President says because he does not do the things God desires, not even the smallest of things. God will not forgive his sins nor the sins of his followers. His Congressional followers are in the same sinful boat because they are only looking out for themselves, because of the upcoming elections, and think the President will be their savior. God is the savior, not the President. Our President is not above God although he thinks he is.

Just think, the Senate leader can open the government just by saying so (why didn’t he do it) and the members of his party could veto proof the vote. They will not and, as I have written before, they will burn in hell for their thinking and their deeds. While they get paid and vacation in luxury, ‘we the people’ are trying to fight off pestilence because of the President and his followers. God, please help us.
