21:5 And I myself will fight against you with an outstretched hand and with a strong arm, even in anger, and in fury, and in great wrath. 21:6 A nd I will strike the inhabitants of this city, both man and beast: they shall die of a great pestilence. 21:7 And afterward, says the LORD, I will deliver Zedekiah king of Judah, and his servants, and the people, and such as are left in this city from the pestilence, from the sword, and from the famine, into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, and into the hand of their enemies, and into the hand of those that seek their life: and he shall strike them with the edge of the sword; he shall not spare them, neither have pity, nor have mercy. 21:8 And unto this people you shall say, Thus says the LORD; Behold, I set before you the way of life, and the way of death. 21:9 He that abides in this city shall die by the sword, and by the famine, and by the p estilence: but he that goes out, and falls to the Chaldeans that besiege you, he shall live, and his life shall be unto him for a prey. (Jeremiah 21:5-9 KJV)
When two men were sent to Jeremiah to ask him if the Lord would stand with the king against his enemies, Jeremiah, in so many words, said no. As I have said many times, history repeats itself as it does now. Maybe not in the exact way but, none the less, it repeats itself. Also, as in the past, people do not care about history and repeat the same mistakes over and over. The President imagines he is surrounded by his so-called enemies and want assurances he will continue as he is doing now and more.
The President only care for himself, what he can acquire, no matter if it is legal or illegal, and because of the very, very few times he has mentioned God, I doubt he even believe in God. He wants people to idolize him as if he were a God and you know what God says about that.
In the above passage (to get a better understanding read 19, 20, and 21, the chapters are short, in its entirety), God told Jeremiah what He was going to do to the people and what He would do, separately, to the king and his minions. One of His ways of dealing with the situation is to set forth pestilence upon them. That is one thing, among other things, I see is happening to all of us.
Those that are not right with God will surely meet His raft. You cannot act and think right on Sunday, do whatever you want to do for the other six days and think that is okay with God. His commandments are His commandments and we can neither change nor disobey them.
There is an old saying, he has made his bed and now he must lay in it. The President have a lot to account for when he meets his Maker and, if he is a Bible reader as he says he is, he did not read nor understand Jeremiah. Oh, Jeremiah, no one listened to you and, in turn, did not listen to the Lord. Oh, Jeremiah, you tried to relay to them what you were told. Oh, Jeremiah, you foretold this.
